Pasifika Art

 Instead of hurumanu we are doing passions projects. One of the lines i chose was Pasifika Art. For that line we are creating our own designs and creating our own stories with our drawings. 



What is technology?

Technology has changed the way we use it from the past to now. It is now so much easier to use and it is a lot more accessible to everyone.

Technology matters because it makes our lives easier, it benefits others, its safer and more secure, and it is a lot faster than life before technology was developed.

My evidence that Technology is now a lot easier to use is... 

-Transportation is a lot safer and faster to use:walking-cars-planes

-Communication is a lot easier and faster:Talking-Letters-calling-emailing

-Learning: listening and remembering-writing in a book-typing on a Chromebook

-Sustainability: jars and boxes-plastic and glass-biodegradable materials

-Delivery: carried on head-sent through the mail as a package-sent from oversies

Technology

Technology is the sum of any techniques, skills, methods, and processes used in the production of goods or services or in the accomplishment of objectives, such as scientific investigation It's very important to people now a days because it helps us with our day to day life and makes it easier. Some of the different ways technology has developed its in transportation, tracking, communication, safety, machines, and learning.

Technology has developed so much in transportation. People used to have to walk everywhere, then up to 5500 years ago people started to travel on horses and donkeys. After that in the early 20th century cars became available for people to get. From then for a while cars where just being developed into better and safer to use. In 1914 after 28 years planes then became available to use for people as well as the better developed cars. Now a days there are big variety of different cars, bikes, and things to use for transport.

Another type of way technology has changed is in tracking and transport directions. Tracking has changed in multiple ways tracking you used to not be able to track people but now you can track people on apps you can download on your phone, you can put GPS in animals to keep them safe, and  you can put trackers on your things you don't want stolen.

For the design and shape I have 
chosen the clear , the design. I am printing in the laser cutter is a spotify song code. For the leds I have chosen is two green. I won't have many words but I will have the song name, artist, play button, spotify code, skip buttons, like button, and the photo of the song cover. The outside shape of the Acrylic cut out will just be a rounded rectangle. 






The voltage and resistors my led will need is:

1st digit-Purple
2nd digit-Green
Multiplier-Black
Tolerance-Gold

Voltage: 3.5v

Math and Science Project

 Report write up

Aim:What is the aim of this project?


The aim of this project was to showcase our math and science skills we have learned over the past weeks to our teachers.


Method:What template did you pick and how many light bulbs? What rooms did you give your house?


I chose the excellence template and I put 12 light bulbs in my house. The rooms I had in my house was a lounge, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, garage, dining room, and some other randoms (storage, hall, extra lounging room)

Discussion:What do the terms voltage, current, resistance mean? How did you do the calculations? Do the calculations make sense?


Current means the flow of electricity, Voltage means the force of electrons, and resistance means the force against the current. I did the calculations by taking the knowledge i already know and working out the numbers that were missing.

Conclusion:Did you enjoy the project? Would you do anything differently if you were to do it again? Different level? Number of bulbs?


I enjoyed the project and I wouldn’t do anything differently. I liked the template I chose, and I didn't mind the amount of light bulbs I chose.

Bonus Inclusions

What is a fuse? How does it work?

A fuse is an electrical safety device that operates to provide over current protection of an electrical circuit. The way it works is the fuse breaks the circuit if a fault in appliance causes too much current flow. This protects the wiring and appliance if something goes wrong. The fuse contains a piece of wire that melts easily. If the current is going through the fuse is too great, the wire heats up until it melts and breaks the circuit. 

Design a back garden using different shaped area to equal 30m2. What vegetables would you plant in it for this time of the year? Why?

I would plant some celery, lettuce, and baby spinach because they can come in handy a lot. You can put them in burgers, wraps sandwiches, you can have it on its own, and you could eat it in many other ways.

Discuss what scientist invented the idea of electricity. How did he come up with the idea? When?

One of the people that should get the most credit for discovering electricity is Benjamin Franklin. Benjamin was one of the smartest scientists in his time. He was interested in many different areas of science including making discovery, inventing new things, including bifocal glasses. In the mid-1700s, he became interested in electricity.

Ancient Roman Inventions.

 Lots of the ancient inventions have helped this generation in multiple different ways.

The Roman Inventions still matter a lot in these days because they are very well built and have been evolved into to different versions from the first made.

Some evidence that the Roman Inventions are really important and used still to this day are the aqueducts, arches used in structure building, roman numerals, and surgical tools (there are way more examples)

Overall Roman Inventions were so smart and helpful that they are still used to this day.

Roman Research


 Some Roman inventions have really impacted and help or lives from day to day.

Roman numerals.

Roman numerals are somethings that has helped our lives a lot. It is used a lot when numbers series of movies, and numbering sets of things. This has impacted the way people number things. For example the iPhone (x, xr, xs, or xs max), Roman numeral clocks, and other things.

Arches

Using arches in structural building is a really helpful to hold and support lots of wait. It has impacted our live a lot in a good way. It has been used in a lot of bridges that have been build, doorways, and used in some big castles.

Aqueducts have helped improved the future (now) so much. It has helped with the water flow and currents.

The first surgical tools. Having the first surgical tools have been  a big improvement and helped. They were the cause of all the develop into what they are now. They were very helpful back then because before the surgical tools were made nobody's wounds and sores could be fixed.
