Digestive system

Esophagus
The esophagus is a muscular tube connecting the throat with the stomach, it is located near your mouth and behind/under your nose. When you swallow your food the walls of the esophagus squeeze together, this moves the food your eating down to your stomach.

 Stomach
The stomach is a muscle that is located on the left side of the upper abdomen. The stomach is like a mixer that mashes up all the food your eating into smaller and smaller pieces. It does this with help from the  stronger muscles in the wall of your stomach. But to help your stomach digest the food their is acid in your stomach to melt the food up.

Small Intestine
The small intestine is a long narrow folded/coiled that is expanded from the stomach to the large intestine it is located in the lower abdomen. The small intestine carries out most of the digestive process, absorbing almost all of the nutrients and putting it into your blood stream.

Large Intestine
The large Intestine is located in the lower abdomen. The Large Intestine Is much broader than the small intestine and it takes a much straighter path through your belly/abdomen. The purpose of the Large Intestine is to absorb waters and salts from the material that has not been digested as food, and get rid of any waste products that is left over.

So basically the Order of your Digestion system moves the food around is first the Esophagus ingests the food, then your stomach digests your food, then your small intestine absorbs all the nutrients and then the large intestine egests the rest of your food.
