Human Rights

This week we have been learning about human rights. Our task was to write all the human rights onto a poster. (we were given a site to work off of).

Reflection: Next time I will try to re write and change more of the words in the sentence than this time and I will also try to stay on task in class so I can get my work done quicker. Next time I will also try and improve on the quality of my work. Unfortunately I was not able to make the slide very interesting because if I did the site i used would make me pay to download my poster. So next time I should consider using a different slide or just google drawings to make my poster.

Reflection:
It was challenging when choosing the topic because I had no idea where to start and what topic to choose. I coped with the challenge by working with a friend so it would be a little easier and less stressful. I work well with others because when im stuck I can ask them for help and you can split the work with the person you are doing it with. Next time I will try and get my work done faster and to put a little more writting. I am really proud of how I chose a topic that would be just right for me because i thought i would choose one either to easy or to hard.

Abomination Novel Study questions

What are the traditional roles of men, women and children that are shown in this community? Roles of men in gloriavale sometimes is construction

At what age are members of Gloriavale expected to begin work?
Members of gloriavale start working at the age of 1-2 or when they start working
What role does Religion play in the lives of Gloriavale members?                                                             No because you dont have much freedom. E.g you only go to school until your year 10, you have to do jobs as soon as you start walking and you have no control of your own life.                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Do you think the people living in Gloriavale are happy? Why or why not                                                     Yes and No because living like that can be a preference and there is always going to be people who like it and people who don't.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             Do you think the people in Gloriavale experience Human Rights?                                                                   People in gloriavale don't have as many rights as people in NZ. But in gloriavale as you get older you are given more rights. And when you are elderly you are given rights to access the internet and electronics.                                                                                                                                                                       Would you be happy to live in a community like Gloriavale. Why or why not?                                               Personally I would not like to live in gloriavale because you aren't allowed to see whats happening in the world for yourself, and elderly has to tell you. You have to start doing jobs as soon as you can walk basically, and you don't have as many rights in gloriavale as you do here in New Zealand.
