Science Experiment (Lock Down)

For this weeks science work we were given a website and we had to choose one experiment to attempt, and I chose the Float a marker man challenge.

Aim:The Aim of this challenge is to end up with a whiteboard pen stick man floating on the surface of some water. 

Method:Firstly Get a Plate, Some water and a whiteboard pen. Then after that draw preferably a stick man (But if wanted a shape or anything) on the plate and once done pour the water besides the white board drawing and it should slowly rise off the plate and float on the surface of the water

Results: 

 

Discussion: The Reason the Stick man drawing detaches from the plate is because Whiteboard marker is a very delicate type of ink and it easily washes away with almost anything. 

Conclusions: In conclusion this ended up working but after a little bit the whiteboard pen drawing started to disintegrate and become very clear. It also started breaking into pieces. Next time I think I should make the lines of the drawing thicker so its stronger and less likely to break.
